Correction: The U.S. death toll for May has risen to 122, making it the deadliest month so far this year.The highest monthly death tolls for U.S. troops occurred in 2004 -- 137 in November and 135 in April.
Since the start of the war, 3,466 U.S. service members have died. Seven civilian contractors of the Defense Department also have been killed in the war.
Apparently at least one soldier or two has his doubts about his tour of duty.
