Michiganders Slanders Iowa Caucuses

According to the Des Moines Register yesterday:

"The Levin brothers are at it again. The senator and House member from Michigan have spent years trying to strip Iowa and New Hampshire of their first-in-the-nation status in the presidential nominating process and now are launching a new attempt in Congress.

Rep. Sander Levin and his brother, Sen. Carl Levin, last week unveiled bills in each chamber that would set up six primary or caucus dates between March and June, with each state representing a different geographic region.

Sen. Bill Nelson, a Florida Democrat, is also a supporter. As he explains it, the order of states within each region would rotate every four years. That order would be determined at the beginning, by lot. States that enjoyed the limelight then would move to the back of the pack.

And, of course, there would be no exceptions for Iowa or New Hampshire." More

It is always interesting to see folks wanting to level the playing field when they are in a ditch.
