The Man Who Would Be President, If You Could Elect a Dead Man

Patrick (Pat) L. Paulsen (not to be confused with the current Treasury Secretary), the late and never great elder statesman who,though persistent, never reached that highest of all U.S. public offices--Mayor of Leadville, Colorado (elevation 10,430 feet).

Nonetheless, on the 11th anniversary of his passing, it is an opportune time to reflect on his multiple candidacies to see why he remains as irrelevant today as he was in 1968.



And his son, Monty, is a chip off the ol' block(head).
